Kingslea is the kind of village where the biggest scandal is usually a dispute over a parking space. Then retired Chief Inspector Alex Ryan finds Jerry Bowen dead in the River Soop, strangled with his own fishing line. And so, the sleepy Woodshire parish he’d chosen for a quiet retirement starts giving up secrets that go back generations. When a second member of the local preservation committee is found bludgeoned to death, Alex can’t stay retired any longer. His digging uncovers a promise a dying Lord made to his tenants more than sixty years previously — a promise quietly buried — and a present-day blackmail arrangement built on that old betrayal.
Fly in the Soop – a classic English village mystery with a very modern sting in its tail.
Fly in the Soop is Kerry Costello’s 10th Murder Mystery Crime Novel
